Riser - Backend Engineer

• API & Microservices Development: Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices powering Aman’s core financial services.
• Code Implementation & Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested backend code following best engineering practices.
• Database & Caching Management: Design efficient database schemas (SQL/NoSQL) and assist in implementing caching strategies (e.g., Redis) to optimize query performance and system throughput.
• System Integration: Help integrate third-party payment gateways, core banking engines, and internal message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Debugging & Maintenance: Participate in troubleshooting production issues, writing unit/integration tests, and identifying performance bottlenecks.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews alongside cross-functional teams (Product, QA, and DevOps).

Technical Skills

• Database Fundamentals: Strong grasp of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and basic familiarity with NoSQL stores (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)
• API Design: Solid understanding of HTTP protocols, RESTful architecture principles, and JSON handling
• Version Control: Hands-on experience with Git (branching strategies, pull requests, merge conflict resolution)
• Solid understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Design Patterns
• Basic familiarity with concurrency, thread management, and asynchronous processing
• Exposure to message brokers like RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
• Fundamental knowledge of FinTech concepts: payment processing, webhook delivery, security standards (e.g., OWASP, PCI-DSS compliance), or encryption mechanisms

• Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
