Risk Analyst

About the Client

Our client is a global payment processing company that offers comprehensive payment infrastructure services, including acquiring, issuing, and processing. They provide solutions such as payment acquiring, BIN sponsorship, white-label card issuing, and digital banking platforms to merchants, fintech companies, and banks worldwide.

Role Overview

As a Risk Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tackle challenges in transaction monitoring and compliance. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring merchant compliance with industry rules and identifying potential risks, thereby contributing to the company's robust risk management framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure merchants’ compliance with Visa and Mastercard rules and requirements.

  • Conduct transaction monitoring for both Fraud and AML purposes.

  • Analyse WebShield alerts and oversee transaction monitoring rules.

  • Review merchant activity during onboarding and ongoing monitoring stages.

  • Monitor merchants’ chargeback and fraud ratios and identify potential risks.

  • Perform risk assessments and escalate suspicious activities when necessary.

  • Support the implementation and improvement of internal risk controls and monitoring processes.

  • Cooperate closely with Compliance, Operations, and other internal teams.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Risk, Fraud Prevention, Transaction Monitoring, Compliance Operations, or a related field within fintech, payments, banking, or financial services.

  • Strong understanding of Visa and Mastercard rules and requirements.

  • Experience with transaction monitoring, fraud detection, and merchant risk assessment.

  • Knowledge of Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) procedures.

  • Experience working with merchant onboarding and ongoing monitoring processes.

  • Fluent Russian and English are required. Latvian language skills are highly preferred.
