Risk and Compliance Officer
You will oversee the local risk framework for the ADGM entity, owning the risk register and managing risk identification, mitigation, reporting, compliance governance, audits, surveillance, financial promotions, and data protection duties as the registered Data Protection Officer.
Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks affecting the ADGM entity
- Design and implement local risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor and review risk processes
- Provide data-driven recommendations
- Report regulator-mandated risks to senior management and the Board
- Partner with Trading, Product, and Marketing teams on risk-based decision-making
- Ensure policies and procedures meet ADGM/FSRA standards
- Lead audits and monitoring plans
- Review local marketing campaigns
- Act as the Registered Data Protection Officer
- Monitor data security measures
- Conduct privacy impact assessments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or a related quantitative field
- 5-6 years of Risk Management experience in Financial Services or FinTech
- Knowledge of the ADGM/FSRA regulatory environment and Risk & Prudential requirements
- Complex data analysis
- Risk reporting
- PRM, FRM, or CRMP certification preferred
- ACAMS or ICA certification advantageous
- Self-starter mentality
