The Opportunity

  • Adecco is partnering with a leading bank to look for a Risk & Control Analyst
  • Contract until 30th Dec 2026

Job Purpose
The Market Risk Controller Contractor will support the Market & Liquidity Risk (MLR) team in the day-to-day monitoring and control of market risks. The role offers exposure to market risk management processes, risk systems, data analysis, and regulatory-driven projects.


Key Responsibilities
• Assist the team in carrying out daily market risk monitoring and control activities, including reviewing risk reports and supporting risk governance processes.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for market risk-related projects, system enhancements, and regulatory initiatives.
• Conduct market risk data analysis and research to support risk assessments, reporting, and management decision-making.
• Assist in investigating data quality issues and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses, reports, and presentation materials as required.
• Support process improvement initiatives relating to market risk monitoring and reporting.


Requirements
• Degree or diploma in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of SQL, Python, or data analytics tools is an advantage.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior exposure to financial markets or risk management would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
