Risk Assurance Analyst

Vault Outsourcing is seeking a detail-oriented Risk Assurance Analyst to support one of our established Australian clients. This role will primarily focus on risk assurance activities, control testing, compliance reviews, data analysis, and assessing the effectiveness of the organisation’s risk and control environment.

This is a great opportunity to work closely with an Australian-based risk team and gain exposure to risk management, regulatory compliance, assurance, and control frameworks within a well-established corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and delivery of risk assurance reviews in line with established methodologies and timelines

• Perform control testing and assurance activities to assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls

• Review business processes for compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk frameworks

• Use data analytics to identify trends, errors, control weaknesses, and emerging risks

• Prepare clear, concise, and well-evidenced assurance workpapers

• Assist with drafting findings, recommendations, and assurance reports

• Support the validation and follow-up of remediation activities and agreed actions

• Analyse control performance to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement

• Work with business and risk stakeholders to communicate findings and control expectations

• Support continuous improvement, thematic reviews, and awareness of regulatory and industry developments

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in risk assurance, compliance, risk management, internal audit, or a related role

• Strong understanding of risk management and control frameworks

• Experience with control testing, assurance reviews, or compliance assessments

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail, with strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

Nice to Have:

• Experience in a casino/gaming environment, banking, corporate, or government organisation

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Auditing, Business, Law, Economics, or a related field

• Experience with data analytics, analytical software, or database systems

• Relevant professional or industry certifications in risk, compliance, audit, or assurance
