Risk Officer
Summary
Build and maintain risk mapping across market, counterparty, operational, liquidity and technology risks for a fintech startup, produce regulatory reports, and support UK expansion with the FCA.
You will build and maintain the risk mapping across market, counterparty, operational, liquidity and technology risks. You will define and track key risk indicators and limits, and produce regular risk reporting to the Head of Finance and the regulator. You will contribute to risk reviews of new operational schemes and regulated activity, help prepare regulatory files for the UK expansion with the FCA, and compute K factors as the balance sheet grows. You will support relationships with external partners on risk-control matters, develop and document risk management policies and procedures, participate in risk committees, and train teams on risk topics.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain risk mapping across market, counterparty, operational, liquidity and technology risks
- Define and track key risk indicators and associated limits
- Produce regular risk reporting to the Head of Finance and the regulator
- Contribute to the risk review of new operational schemes and new regulated activity
- Contribute to regulatory files, including as part of UK expansion with the FCA
- Compute K factors as the balance sheet grows
- Support relationships with external partners on risk-control matters
- Develop and document risk management policies and procedures
- Participate in risk committees and present analyses to internal stakeholders
- Train and raise awareness among teams on risk topics
Requirements
- Experience: at least 3 years in Sales, ideally at a tier 1 startup.
- Network: you’ve already worked with CFOs of startups, scale-ups or SMBs.
- Mindset: extremely ambitious, eager to help build a best-in-class sales machine for the French market.
- Autonomy: capable of running a full sales cycle independently from prospection to account management.

- Tech-savvy: experienced with CRMs and familiar with sales tools like Aircall, Kaspr, Lusha, etc.
- Excellent communication: native speaker in French, fluent in English.
