Risk Support Specialist

We’re hiring a Risk Support Specialist to join County Materials in Marathon, WI.

Job Summary:
The Risk Support Specialist supports the organization’s risk management activities with a focus on administrative processes, compliance tracking, and vendor management. This role assists in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while ensuring accurate documentation, reporting, and adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks related to risk management processes, compliance tracking, and vendor coordination.
Operate and maintain risk tracking systems, vendor databases, and documentation tools to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
Follow all safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal risk management policies and standards.
Support team operations across risk management, claims administration, insurance renewals, and vendor oversight activities.
Assist with key tasks, including risk documentation, data analysis, claims tracking, compliance reporting, vendor onboarding, contract review support, and audit preparation.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications:

Associate’s degree (or higher) in Risk Management, Business Administration, Insurance, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, vendor management, procurement, or related field.

Skills:

Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Word, SharePoint)
Experience with vendor management systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
High level of integrity and confidentiality
Strong understanding of insurance terminology and processes

Licenses/Certificates:CIRS certification preferred

Work Environment:

Exposure may include standard office conditions, computer use, and interaction with internal teams and external vendors.
Travel required: Minimal
Typical work hours/shifts: Standard business hours with occasional extended hours during audits, renewals, or project deadlines
