Meritus Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Ambulatory Services to join our growing team. In this role, you'll care for patients across a variety of specialty clinics and procedural areas, working closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals.

What You'll Do

As an Ambulatory Services RN, you will:

  • Provide direct nursing care in ambulatory and outpatient settings.
  • Assess patients and prepare them for procedures and specialty visits.
  • Assist physicians and providers with minor surgical and procedural services, including paracentesis, thoracentesis, pain management, and endoscopy procedures.
  • Support physician consultations and specialty clinic visits.
  • Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure assessment, education, and monitoring.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and established protocols.
  • Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes or concerns.
  • Educate patients and families about procedures, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment.
  • Collaborate with physicians, providers, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to provide coordinated, high-quality care.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • Shifts vary between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
  • After-hours and weekend on-call requirements

What You'll Bring

  • Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of Registered Nurse experience required.
  • Licensure: Active Maryland RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license required.
  • Certification: Current BLS certification required.
