The RN Clinical Coordinator for the Operating Room at St. Anthony North Hospital provides operational leadership for a surgical department featuring 10 OR suites, a cystoscopy room, and a minor procedure room, supporting a high-volume environment of 600–700+ cases per month. With a specific focus on the Ortho service line, this role involves managing the front desk, determining daily staff assignments, and scheduling upcoming shifts. As a member of the leadership team, you will coach staff to build clinical competency, ensure accountability to hospital policies, and support the Manager and Director in the development and implementation of departmental education and practice standards. This position functions as a core department resource, providing clinical coverage by taking over rooms during shifts, managing add-on cases, and preparing suites for the following day’s schedule during downtime. When necessary, you will also provide cross-functional support across the entire OR to ensure all surgical needs are met.

Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our RN Clinical Coordinator, you will actively support the department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit, serving as a vital clinical resource and professional role model. Every day you will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, ensure high-quality care delivery, act as a crucial link between physicians and the patient care team, authorize work procedures, assign duties, manage as shift charge, and actively take patient assignments based on unit needs and acuity, all while promoting patient well-being and adhering to professional standards. - Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.
- Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
- Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.
- Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.
- Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care. Liaison to the multidisciplinary patient care team.
We are offering a $20,000 Sign on bonus in addition up to $10,000 relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Schedule- 40 hrs/Week- Variable shift times/days per surgical Volume and current unit needs
Call required- Approx. 4-6 call shifts per 6 week schedule block. May Vary
Weekend Call is 0700-1930, 1900-0730, weekday call 1900-0730

Job Requirements
Required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or by endorsement
- One (1) year of clinical RN experience
- RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Nursing Specialty Certification
- Previous OR experience across multiple service lines highly preferred
- Previous leadership experience preferred- Either Charge RN or Service line leader
