RN- CLINICAL PRACTICE (FT/Days) Pre-Op Clinic

DEFINITION:

Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Operations, gathers the medical/surgical history and medication lists for all patients having surgery at McBride Orthopedic Hospital, performs interviews on applicable patients and provides pre-operative education prior to surgery. Compiles, organizes, and prepares all pre-operative charts for the Hospital and OSC, obtaining Anesthesia approval for applicable patients. Works cooperatively with the physician offices to facilitate the pre-operative admission process for patients.
