JOB LOCATION – Wilkes-Barre General Hospital
Job Purpose
A clinically competent, registered nurse who demonstrates expertise in the perioperative field. Effectively delivers peri-operative care to the surgical patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
Position Qualifications
Education:
Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes:
- Past peri-operative experience is preferred.
- Nurses who do not meet this requirement must complete a surgical competency-based orientation program successfully.
Licenses/Certificates:
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS or completed prior to end of orientation period
- Current ACLS/ALS or completed within 6 months of hire
- For nurses hired specifically for PACU, current PALS or completed within 6 months of hire
