Full-Time with benefits
Must be competent to float to all PCU, SSU and MedSurg areas including ED holds
Team member chooses a market (NTX – Huguley & Mansfield) and agrees to float to all hospitals in that market.
Must pre-schedule shifts (3 - 12 hour shifts a week commitment) in Float Pool Department during normal UKG 6 week scheduling cycle:
Float Pool RNs cannot pick up shifts directly with individual departments.
If an RN misses the window to enter their schedule before it closes, they will need to pick up open shifts in float pool dept to meet the required 36 hours per week.
If a shift is full, the RN must pick a different day
During daily staffing planning tasks, THH house supervisor will determine which unit / hospital to float RN to for that shift.
Anticipate using for ED holds and opening of additional beds
May float to a different area every shift.
May be asked to float partially in the shift.
Must schedule 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period.
Required to schedule one major and one minor holiday per year.
Provides patient education and discharge planning.
Performs patient assessments and responds to emergencies
Participates in team meetings. Other duties as assigned.
Implements and monitors patient care plans.
Records and communicates patient conditions.
Coordinates care among disciplines.
Carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient care needs, maintaining accurate patient records. Administers medications and treatments.
Education:
High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:
from an accredited school/college of nursing
Licenses and Certifications:
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
Registered Nurse (RN)[Required]
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred]
