LTC Nurse Educator – RN

We are seeking a LTC Nurse Educator to join our team and serve as a clinical resource and educator for our Long-Term Care nursing staff. What You'll Do
- Provide clinical education, training, and ongoing support to LTC nursing staff.
- Develop and deliver educational programs, in-services, and competency-based training.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for RNs, LPNs, and other nursing team members.
- Identify educational needs and develop training to address clinical practice and performance gaps.
- Reinforce evidence-based nursing practices, organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Support orientation and onboarding of new clinical staff.
- Assist with maintaining staff competencies and ensuring required education is completed.
- Provide guidance and support related to clinical skills, resident care, documentation, medication administration, infection prevention, and other areas of nursing practice.
- Promote consistent standards of care throughout the Long-Term Care environment.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary team members to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
- Maintain current clinical knowledge and expertise through continuing education and professional development.
- When needed, provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care to residents and serve as a clinical role model for staff.
- Promote a culture of safety, dignity, respect, teamwork, and exceptional resident care.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Long-Term Care experience.
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the needs of adult and geriatric residents.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Ability to educate, mentor, and effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Computer literacy.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous nursing education, staff development, preceptor, leadership, or clinical education experience.
- Experience developing and presenting clinical education programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
