RN Night Shift- Med Surg- Sign on bonus!
All Registered Nurses (RN) are responsible and accountable to independently care for a group of assigned patients for a designated time. Delivers care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Provide patient care and physician assistance for a variety of patient types and cases/procedures including the Emergency, Surgery, and Outpatient, OB and/or Medical/Surgical departments per training and/or certification competencies.
· Utilizes the nursing process to develop and maintain a plan of care for every patient. Conducts patient assessments, identifies, and addresses patient needs and goals, including patient teaching and discharge planning.
· Initiates physician orders; implements standing orders and protocols when appropriate. Administer medications, blood products, and/or treatments based on physician orders, and in accordance with hospital policy.
· Collects, records and reports patient data. Documents and communicate information regarding patient status through the EHR and verbal reports.
· Assists providers with outpatient procedures.
· Provides support and oversight to ER techs and C.N.As.
· Provides support on holidays and weekends to ER Tech so they can complete the routine duties of the Central Supply Department.
· May have to go on transfers with patients in the ambulance to airport or to another facility and will obtain training with the ambulance and ambulance-based clinician certification.
· May be required to work night and/or weekend shifts.
· Willing to train to Emergency Room
· All registered nurses are required to have a valid Idaho RN license, or eligible, with the Idaho State Board of Nursing.
· All ER nurses must be certified independently by the CMO and CNO/CNM before they can work independently in the ER. They must have taken TNCC or ATLS classes.
· Current BLS certification required.
· RN2, RN3, and RN4 must obtain and maintain current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification.
