Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our RN Occupational Health Coordinator, you will develop, implement, coordinate, and maintain comprehensive occupational health programs, serving as the system's expert in workplace safety and wellness. Every day you will ensure knowledge and compliance with all governmental agency regulations, maintain OSHA/BBP/Injury logs, advocate for staff health and safety, and potentially coordinate the Workers' Compensation program including case management and injury investigation. You will also manage back-to-work/light duty coordination and may direct Occupational Health Technicians. To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with expertise in occupational health and safety regulations, strong program development and coordination skills, and the ability to effectively manage compliance, administer W/C programs, and advocate for staff well-being.

  • Conducts preplacement health screens and completes all required documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Assists with medical case management/FMLA coordination, as needed, of workers' comp cases to ensure quality care, safe return to work, and cost effectiveness.
  • Updates records regarding immunizations, medications, exposures, and medical surveillance.
  • Follows exposure protocol as required on all exposed individuals in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Maintenance of all OSHA logs as required.
  • Maintenance of the electronic incident reporting platform for all associates. Initiates appropriate referrals and followup for medical care when needed.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Associates Degree in Nursing
  • One (1) year of clinical RN experience
  • RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable
  • Current Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association

Preferred

  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing
  • Prior Occupational Health experience or working knowledge of Occupational Health to include blood borne pathogens; immunizations; communicable diseases, knowledge of workers' compensation procedures and regulations
