- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring of patients presenting with a variety of medical related conditions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Respond rapidly to emergency situations, including codes, trauma activations, and critical care interventions.
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes promptly to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, ancillary departments, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.
- Provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism in high-stress situations.
- Active, current, and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Minimum of one (1) year of emergency nursing knowledge and experience, or successful completion of an Emergency Department training program, including:
- EMTALA training
- Emergency Severity Index (ESI) Level 5 triage training (to be completed within the first six months of employment in the Emergency Department)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to maintain composure, adaptability, and sound judgment in a fast-paced, changing environment
- De-escalation certification required upon hire; SAMA certification required upon recertification.
- Our organization follows an in person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a weekly basis. The hospital is located at 14662 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780.
- The total compensation target pay range for this role is $54.85 per hour. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
