JOB LOCATION: Wilkes-Barre General Hospital / Same Day Surgery Center
SHIFT: Full Time Days
POSITION PURPOSE
The RN provides comprehensive perioperative care to patients undergoing same-day surgical procedures, covering preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. Key responsibilities
- include patient assessment;
- preparing patients for surgery;
- assisting in the operating room (circulating/scrubbing);
- monitoring recovery, and educating families on discharge instructions.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- BS in nursing
Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes:
- 1-3 years of nursing preferably in operating, PACU, critical care environments
Licenses/Certificates:
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS preferred
