Job Description:

• Provide management/tasks/ nursing care to the residents.
• Administer TB testing to staff and residents as needed
• Be a liaison as needed for the primary care physicians, nursing staff, and families of the residents.
• Ensuring nursing staff is involved in providing care to the residents and that staff are. aware of the residents’ care plans, and that they are used to administering daily care.
• Assures that all medications & treatments are performed according to facility policies & schedules.
• Monitors staff compliance on State & Federal requirements including bloodborne pathogens, hazardous materials, infection control & fire safety.
• Educate on staff competencies, annual, upon hire and as needed.
• Participates in daily clinical review as designated by DON and or designee.
• Participate in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Committee and other committees as requested.
• Take nursing administrative call as scheduled.
• Schedule daily rounds to observe residents and to determine if nursing needs are being met.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to assure those medications are being administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled.
• Ensure that nursing service work areas (i.e. nurse’s stations, medicine preparation rooms, etc.) Resident rooms, treatment areas, etc are maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
• Other duties as required.

Job Summary

The Staff Development Coordinator is also responsible for supervising nursing staff on their shift & providing general oversight to employees in all departments

Education and Experience

• Current state nursing license.

Pay: 70-78K per year

Schedule:

• Mon-Fri
• 8 hour shift
• Some weekends and nights on call
