RN - Supervisor - Labor&Delivery/Post-Partum - Encinitas

This is a full-time benefited position working night shift. Schedule includes 12-hour charge shifts and 8-hour admin shifts.

Position does cover weekends and only takes calls on holidays as needed.

This role rotates work caring for L&D, Antepartum, Postpartum, and newborn patients. Located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

We invite you to join our highly engaged Maternal Child Health team as a Supervisor of Patient Care Registered Nurse.

As a Supervisor of Patient Care, you will ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. In addition, you will be responsible for\:

· Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans.

· Ensures appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology (Teletracking) and adherence to care processes for bed placement/patient transfer/patient transport/room cleaning and patient discharge.

· Ensures the safe transition of patients through the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.
