Job Responsibilities

  • License Application: Responsible for preparing materials for the companys application to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) for Type 4 and 9 license upgrades (with VA focus) and Type 1 license application, including refining compliance policies, control measures, processes, and systems required for licensing and upgrades.
  • License Maintenance: After approval, act as the Responsible Officer (RO) to ensure the companys operations continuously comply with SFC licensing and regulatory requirements.
  • Product Strategy: Design and develop virtual asset management products that meet market demands, aligned with the companys strategic positioning.
  • Investment Management: Oversee investment management, operations, and risk control for the companys virtual asset management products and Real-World Asset (RWA) products.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree or higher in Finance, Law, or related disciplines; professional qualifications such as CFA are preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in blockchain, virtual assets, or asset management within the past 6 years.
  • Deep understanding of Hong Kong financial markets and the regulatory landscape governing virtual assets.
  • Must hold at least one SFC Responsible Officer (RO) license among Type 1 (Securities Trading), Type 4 (Advising on Securities), or Type 9 (Asset Management), with demonstrated experience in virtual asset investment management.
  • Strong spoken and written Chinese proficiency is a must.
  • Strong analytical, risk assessment, and written communication skills with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable business processes.
  • Familiarity with blockchain technology including protocols, encryption, consensus algorithms, and smart contracts, plus ability to work collaboratively with blockchain developers on product build and deployment.
