Job Title: Roadside Mechanic

Location: Cleveland, OH (in person)

Reports To: Service Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Pay Range: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience

The Roadside Mechanic diagnoses, repairs, and maintains heavy equipment and aerial lifts — including boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlers — both in the field and on customer job sites. • Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer-owned equipment

• Perform on-site and roadside service calls to get equipment back up and running quickly

• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with operational standards

• Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and sales staff

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Prioritize safety in every task

• Other duties as assigned

• Minimum 1 year of experience in heavy equipment or construction equipment repair

• Familiarity with aerial lifts (boom lifts, scissor lifts) is a plus

• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Valid driver’s license required

• Willingness to relocate to Cleveland, OH (if applicable)

This is an in-person position based out of our Cleveland location, with regular travel to customer job sites for field and roadside service. Work is performed outdoors and in shop settings, with exposure to noise, weather, grease, hydraulics, and moving equipment.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 75 lbs with assistance

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods

• Ability to climb ladders and equipment, and work at heights in aerial lifts and on elevated platforms

• Ability to work in confined or awkward spaces to access components

• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow

• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, high-visibility clothing, and fall protection

• Ability to safely operate a service vehicle and travel to job sites throughout the region

• Competitive hourly pay ($27.00–$35.00/hour, based on experience)
