Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a driven and motivated individual to join our team as Roadway Design Engineer in Raleigh, North Carolina. The selected candidate(s) will support our growing local and national practice and work directly with industry-leading transportation planners, designers, and engineers. Preferred candidates will have a passion for infrastructure design with a background in civil engineering. Candidates must be willing to travel and ideally have a valid driver’s license.

Stantec’s local office designs a wide variety of transportation projects, such as interstate widening, arterial widening, intersection improvements, roundabouts, complete streets, and bicycle / pedestrian projects. These projects will offer you the opportunity to experience a broad range of professional experience. Technical experience with at least one of these key software programs is preferred\: MicroStation, GEOPAK, or OpenRoads. Above all, the successful candidate will be organized, highly self-motivated and curious, have a friendly, professional demeanor, and be able to multitask, ask questions, and learn from feedback.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Gather project data
• Support the production of drawings and specifications to ensure technical accuracy.
• Support the preliminary and detailed civil analysis for transportation infrastructure related projects.
• Assist with CAD drafting and design
• Observe and attend meetings with design team, and other project stakeholders.
• Other related tasks as assigned.
