FANUC America Corporation: Robot Controls Engineer for Rochester Hills, MI to customize body shop solutions based on quoted project deliverables & change orders, & support design through application & implementation guidance; develop Dressout specifications to meet application needs & work with Dressout suppliers; & develop & plan drawings for robot with Dressout installed, Air/Water preparation equipment, J3 equipment/pneumatics, & robot controller interface package. Requires Bachelor’s in Robotics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering or closely-related field & 2 yrs experience in industrial automation design; creating & reading electrical interfaces, robot mechanical dressout & pneumatic prints; providing engineering accuracy following ISO procedures; creating robotic designs & assembly plans; programming with PLC; supporting continuous improvement of PPG Engineering Standards & refinement of ISO processes; using RoboGuide to virtually validate robot programs & options; developing & testing robotic dress package prototypes; automating systems for use in manufacturing; & supporting failure analysis and troubleshooting efforts. $73,798.00 to $102,798.00 per year.
