Robotics Platform Software Engineer
About the role
Build the software platform that transforms humanoid robotics research into a reliable production system. This role combines robotics software, real-time systems, cloud/backend engineering, AI model serving, and platform development.
Key responsibilities
Design and develop the on-robot runtime integrating robot SDKs, ROS 2, AI models, and whole-body controllers.
Build orchestration systems connecting LLM planners, VLM/VLA policies, and low-level robot control.
Optimize real-time performance including scheduling, ROS 2 QoS, DDS tuning, and end-to-end latency.
Integrate perception systems including RGB-D, LiDAR, and tactile sensors, with clean versioned APIs.
Build cloud platforms for fleet management, telemetry, OTA updates, event logging, and remote diagnostics.
Develop robotics data pipelines covering rosbag / MCAP ingestion, automated QA, dataset versioning, and training hand-off.
Build and operate model-serving infrastructure for edge devices and cloud GPU environments.
Implement observability including structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and operational dashboards.
Develop operator consoles, APIs, SDKs, CLIs, and developer tooling.
Own CI/CD, staged deployments, release management, rollback processes, and production reliability.
