Summary

Builds and ships software for AI-driven robots at a Series A robotics startup — coordinating real-time robot control, motion-planning optimization, and ML pipelines across firmware, robotics software, and cloud, and deploying systems in customer facilities. Core stack: Python, plus C/C++, TypeScript/React, ROS, Docker, Kubernetes.

About the Role

Join the R&D team at a Series A robotics startup building software for AI-driven robots operating in real production environments. You will work across the robotics stack, helping turn software into reliable performance in customer facilities.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate real-time robot software, motion-planning optimization systems, and machine-learning pipelines across multiple platforms.

  • Build and maintain data-labeling interfaces, perception systems, and compilers for robot intelligence.

  • Work across firmware, robotics software, and cloud infrastructure to solve high-priority technical challenges.

  • Collaborate with teammates to design, build, and ship systems for capable, flexible robots.

  • Deploy software in customer facilities and improve its performance in real-world environments.

What We're Looking For

  • One to three years of software engineering experience in robotics, automation, or embedded systems.

  • Experience building and shipping software for physical robotic systems, such as arms, manipulation systems, or autonomous hardware, in production or customer environments.

  • Strong programming fundamentals and proficiency in Python; experience with C/C++, TypeScript, or React is useful.

  • Hands-on experience with production robotics systems and hardware/software integration; familiarity with ROS, motion planning, or robot optimization is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and systemd is beneficial.

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, robotics, or a related engineering field.

  • Experience in a fast-moving startup or other high-ownership environment, and the ability to adapt as priorities change.
