Room Attendant

Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor

Position Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest readiness throughout assigned guest rooms and public areas. This role is essential in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring each space reflects professionalism, care, and attention to detail.

We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work and understand the importance of efficiency and consistency in hospitality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Guest Room Cleaning

  • Thoroughly clean and prepare guest rooms within established time standards.

  • Make beds according to company standards.

  • Sweep and mop floors.

  • Dust and wipe walls, ceilings, furniture, fixtures, and all surfaces.

  • Clean mirrors, windows, telephones, refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, and other in-room amenities.

  • Restock guest supplies and amenities according to company standards.

  • Notify Supervisor of bedspreads or linens requiring special cleaning.

  • Accurately complete room assignment sheets.

  • Identify, document, and report maintenance issues promptly.

Bathroom Cleaning

Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest bathrooms, including:

  • Floors

  • Vanities

  • Toilets

  • Bathtubs and showers

  • Shower curtains

  • Mirrors

  • Vents

  • Replenish towels and guest amenities to standard levels.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Stock and maintain housekeeping cart daily.

  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to guidelines.

  • Deliver housekeeping items to guest rooms in a timely manner.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Department Head.

Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

  • Ability to work efficiently within time standards.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to lift, bend, stand, and move for extended periods.

  • Professional attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction.

  • Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends and holidays as required in the hospitality industry.
