Room Service Server Assistant

JOB PURPOSE: Supports luxury In-Room Dining by keeping the operation prepared, stocked, clean, and responsive. The Server Assistant focuses on rolling-table preparation, equipment movement and retrieval, hot/cold holding, replenishment, polishing, staging, and service support so Servers can remain focused on the guest experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Polish, stage, and set rolling tables, trays, hot/cold carriers, glassware, and service accessories to established resort standards.
· Assist servers with order pickup, staging, elevator transport, large orders, amenities, and non-cooking prep (coffee, tea, ice, garnishes).
· Monitor hallways to clear used equipment promptly; break down, sort waste, coordinate cleaning with Stewarding, and return sanitized items to storage.
· Monitor par levels for service supplies, conduct inventory counts, maintain clean storage areas, and report damaged or missing items immediately.
· Strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, security, guest privacy, and professional grooming standards.
· Deliver polished, personalized, and discreet service while anticipating guest needs and protecting room privacy.
· Maintain professional posture, clear communication, and full ownership of guest requests and service recovery.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
- Previous hotel, restaurant, banquet, stewarding, or food-service experience preferred but not required when the candidate demonstrates strong service aptitude.
- Ability to work efficiently behind the scenes while maintaining luxury presentation standards and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented, organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently throughout a large resort.
- Food handler and alcohol certification or other credentials as required by property policy or law.
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must follow safety precautions and requirements
- PPABC Liquor Certification or successful completion of the PPABC Liquor Certification course
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Standing/Walking, 100% up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to grasp, lift, push, pull, and carry or transport otherwise move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis
- Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop, and reach on a continuous basis up to an 8-hour shift.
- Shift work required. Required to work morning, evenings, weekends, holidays, and possible overtime based on business levels.
