Duties and responsibilities related to the Rooms Controller role
· Coordinate room allocation and inventory management to ensure a smooth and efficient guest arrival and departure experience.
· Act as the key liaison between Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales and Guest Services to maintain operational excellence.
· Monitor room availability and occupancy levels, identifying opportunities to maximise revenue and guest satisfaction.
· Prioritise room readiness for VIPs, loyalty members, long-stay guests and special arrivals.
· Support the management of overbookings, room moves and late departures to minimise disruption to operations.
· Ensure accurate communication of room status updates and operational priorities across departments.
· Assist with guest check-in and check-out activities when required, delivering exceptional customer service.
· Support the training and development of team members and contribute to the smooth running of the Guest Services operation.
About you
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive hospitality professional with previous experience in Front Office, Guest Services or Rooms Division operations. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and coordination skills, a strong eye for detail and the ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment. Experience working within a hotel setting is essential, and familiarity with room inventory management, guest service standards and operational planning will be highly advantageous. A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and supporting team success is key to this role.
