Rotating Equipment Quality Inspector
Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities
Relevant exposure in rotating equipment with a minimum of 12 years of experience in inspection activities.
Carry out third-party quality inspections for rotating equipment, including:
- Reciprocating compressors
- Centrifugal compressors
- Screw compressors
- Centrifugal pumps
- Gas turbines
- Steam turbines
- Fans and blowers
Conduct, witness, and validate all required testing activities, including:
- Screw compressor testing
- Centrifugal pump performance testing
- Centrifugal compressor testing
- Reciprocating compressor testing
- Fan mechanical running tests
- Fan performance tests
Monitor manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure compliance with:
- Design codes
- Purchase order specifications (including all company technical standards)
- Purchaser’s standards
- Approved drawings
Ensure strict adherence to applicable international codes and standards, including but not limited to:
- API 618
- Other relevant API recommended practices
- International standards such as BS 7322 or equivalent
Review and verify inspection and test plans (ITPs), procedures, and method statements to ensure proper implementation.
Perform in-process and final inspections, ensuring all quality requirements are met prior to release.
Identify, document, and report non-conformities (NCRs), and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Prepare, review, and validate:
- Inspection reports
- Test reports
- Quality dossiers and documentation packages
Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, clients, and third-party agencies to ensure smooth execution of inspection and testing activities.
Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with project and contractual requirements.
