Position Summary:
The Route Driver is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while picking up and delivering dry cleaning and laundry orders to residential and commercial customers. In addition to ensuring timely, safe, and accurate deliveries, the Route Driver plays a key role in growing sales by promoting services, identifying new customer opportunities, and building strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company vehicle along a designated route to pick up and deliver customer orders.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service at each stop, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering customer loyalty.
- Identify opportunities to grow sales by promoting additional services, upselling specialty cleaning, and educating customers about promotions, discounts, and referral programs.
- Actively seek new customers within assigned territory by leaving marketing materials and encouraging word-of-mouth referrals.
- Accurately record pickups, deliveries, payments, and customer interactions using handheld devices or route management software.
- Load and unload garments and laundry items, ensuring all orders are complete and properly organized.
- Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and traffic laws.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance issues to management.
- Communicate with the office regarding any customer concerns, delivery issues, or changes to the route.
- Assist with occasional special deliveries, events, or promotional pickups as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in delivery driving, route service, customer service, or sales preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with customers and promote services effectively.
- Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry bags of clothing and laundry, up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively.
- Familiarity with local roads and neighborhoods is a plus.
