RPA Business Analyst
Summary
Analyzes and designs business processes for automation, bridging client needs with RPA development teams using tools like UiPath or Automation Anywhere.
- Lead process walkthroughs and workshops with client SMEs to capture end-to-end workflows, documenting As-Is processes down to keystroke level.
- Analyze existing process documentation to validate accuracy, ensure compliance, and surface improvement opportunities.
- Assess process feasibility for automation, identify blockers, and quantify FTE benefits, effort estimates, and expected ROI.
- Define and design To-Be automation solutions aligned with client business goals, and present them to stakeholders with clarity and precision.
- Prepare complete, unambiguous requirement documentation (PDDs/SDDs) and ensure accurate handoff to the development team.
- Continuously recommend process optimisations before and alongside automation.
- Document test procedures and UAT scenarios; support business teams through integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
- Support daily RPA operations post go-live, troubleshooting issues with prompt, practical resolutions.
- Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) between clients, project teams, and leadership across the project lifecycle — from requirements gathering through post-deployment support.
- Manage competing stakeholder priorities and keep all parties aligned on scope, timelines, and outcomes.
- 2+ years of hands-on RPA experience (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or similar platforms) within 2-5 years of total experience.
- Strong command of business process mapping, gap analysis, and process documentation standards.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator and presenter, comfortable engaging client SMEs and senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Visio, Excel, Word, and RPA-specific documentation formats (PDD, SDD, test scripts).
- Strong professional communication skills.
- RPA certification (e.g., UiPath Business Analyst, Automation Anywhere Certified Analyst).
- Experience building effort estimates, business cases, and ROI models for automation.
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
