RPG Developer at BairesDev

As an RPG Developer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and evolution of mission-critical applications running on IBM Power Systems. You will act as a key technical steward for enterprise-grade software, ensuring that legacy business logic remains robust while integrating with modern administrative toolsets.

What You'll Do:

- Develop and enhance business applications using RPG and related IBMi technologies to support enterprise workflows.
- Manage and optimize IBM Power Systems environments, ensuring high availability and system reliability.
- Administer IBMi (OS/400) instances using specialized tools like HMC and PowerVM for efficient resource allocation.
- Implement disaster recovery and data replication strategies using PowerHA and Fortra toolsets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into stable technical solutions on the IBMi platform.
- Perform ongoing system administration and performance tuning to maintain the health of the Power Systems infrastructure.

What we are looking for:

- 4+ years of experience in RPG development and IBMi systems administration.
- Proven expertise in maintaining and developing software on IBM Power Systems.
- Hands-on experience with IBMi (OS/400) administration and Fortra toolsets.
- Proficiency in using PowerHA, HMC, and PowerVM for systems management.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
