Job Title: Sr. RPG Developer
Location: Cincinnati. OH
Onsite Requirements: 4 days onsite
Compensation Range: 55-60/hour W2

RPG Developer (IBM i) -- Modernize & Support Mission-Critical Business Systems (Onsite | Cincinnati, OH) Overview

Join a stable, culture-driven organization where your RPG expertise directly supports core business operations. In this role, you'll design, enhance, and maintain IBM i (AS/400) applications that power key financial functions--while also contributing to modernization efforts that bring legacy RPG environments forward. You'll collaborate closely with analysts, developers, and business users in an onsite team setting, owning everything from development and troubleshooting to performance tuning and production support.

Required Skills
  • 10+ years of hands-on application development using RPG on IBM i
  • Strong experience with RPG IV / ILE RPG, CL, and DB2 for i
  • Experience with SQL and web services
  • Background supporting accounting systems (AR, AP, GL)--with emphasis on Accounts Receivable
  • Proven ability to work with legacy systems and contribute to modernizing existing codebases
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively onsite
  • Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite (4 days onsite / 1 day off)
Nice to Have Skills
  • Free-Form RPG
  • IBM i system administration concepts
  • Exposure to application modernization initiatives or ERP systems (especially JD Edwards)
  • Experience with ASNA Visual RPG
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Senior-level experience supporting and enhancing IBM i RPG applications in production environments
