RPG Software Developer
Summary
Maintain and modernize IBM i (AS/400) RPG applications for business-critical systems using ILE, SQL, CLP, and IBM i OS tools.
Salary: £60,000 - 65,000 per year
Requirements:- Commercial experience developing IBM i / RPG applications.
- Experience maintaining and modernising business-critical applications.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- RPG experience across multiple versions, including legacy and modern RPG.
- ILE.
- SQL.
- CLP.
- IBM i OS.
- Query 400 and DFU.
- Experience using an IDE such as VS Code or RDI.
- We develop, enhance, test and support applications for a wide range of customer projects.
- We analyse business requirements and design effective software solutions.
- We produce technical documentation for new developments and application enhancements.
- We build a strong understanding of client business processes and application landscapes to provide effective long-term support.
- We manage software changes from requirements gathering through to implementation.
- We deliver training and knowledge transfer to customers where appropriate.
