Operations / Warehouse / RPPC
RPPC Supervisor
Reports to: General Manager - Warehouse
Leads: RPPC Associate Lead; RPPC Associates
Role overview
Lead Receiving, Putaway, and Pick, including cycle counts, storage-location management, and physical inventory accuracy. Work alongside the team while directing the movement of products from vendor receipt through shelving, picking, and delivery to the staged shipping area. Hiring and termination decisions remain with manager-level leadership.
Responsibilities
- Assign daily work across picking, receiving, putaway, and inventory tasks. Start picking early enough to build work for Shipping, then shift much of the team toward receiving and putaway after the picking cutoff.
- Ensure incoming products and quantities are verified, received accurately, and placed in the correct storage locations. Address receiving discrepancies and keep unfinished work visible.
- Maintain picking accuracy and timely delivery to staging. Investigate missing stock, location errors, and picking exceptions, including discrepancies found during Shipping's final check.
- Organize cycle counts and investigate physical inventory differences. Coordinate approved corrections and financial review with the Controller rather than leaving unexplained discrepancies unresolved.
- Manage storage locations, capacity, and density while supporting efficient picking. Keep location records aligned with physical moves and coordinate products routed to photography or interfacility transfers.
- Train associates and use the Lead to support daily direction and absence coverage. Receive approved returns for physical putaway after Returns has completed the inventory update; do not add the same units again.
- Operate forklifts/hi-los as needed for receiving, putaway, inventory movement, and storage-location management. Must complete required training and evaluation before operating equipment independently.
What success looks like
Counts and locations are reliable, picks are accurate, and orders reach Shipping on time. Storage space is used effectively, discrepancies are investigated, and the team moves smoothly between picking and receiving work.
