RTS System Support Engineer

Join our Inspiring Audio Business as an RTS System Support Engineer, where you will play a key role in supporting customers, solving technical challenges, and delivering innovative communication and audio solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on RTS products and solutions.
  • Support the Sales team with technical expertise during customer engagements, project planning, and solution design.
  • Review customer intercom system designs and develop complete, scalable, and operational solutions that meet project requirements.
  • Analyse customer challenges and provide effective troubleshooting, validation, and technical solutions.
  • Validate proposed system architectures and support the Sales team in developing optimal solutions for customer applications.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and debug RTS hardware and software products, documenting and escalating issues through the internal bug reporting process where required.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, system designs, and signal flow diagrams to support customer projects.
  • Assist customers with system commissioning, configuration, optimisation, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Sales teams to ensure successful customer outcomes.

Key Skills

  • Solid experience in technical support, systems engineering, broadcast technology, professional audio, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Dante audio networking technology.
  • Basic knowledge of trending Audio over IP platforms (AES67, SMPTE 2110 Suite)
  • Basic understanding of RTS RVON protocol and IP-based communications systems.
  • Familiarity with server virtualisation technologies.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of audio signal flow and processing.
  • The ability to troubleshoot audio signal flow from source to destination.
  • Experience creating system layouts and signal flow diagrams using tools such as Microsoft Visio.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to explain technical concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the broadcast, live production, media, communications, or professional audio industry.
  • Knowledge of IP-based broadcast, intercom, and Audio over IP technologies.
  • Experience supporting complex customer environments and technical projects from design through implementation.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and audio system integration.
  • Relevant industry certifications in networking, broadcast technology, or professional audio are an advantage.
  • Self-motivated and highly organised, with the ability to independently manage priorities and schedule activities in coordination with customers, Sales, and internal stakeholders.
