RV Park Camp Host
Position Summary
The RV Park Camp Host serves as a welcoming, helpful on-site representative for guests and supports the daily operation of the park. This position is ideal for an experienced RVer or customer-service-oriented individual/couple who enjoys working outdoors, assisting travelers, and helping maintain a clean, safe, friendly campground environment.
Camp Hosts may receive a complimentary or discounted RV site as part of compensation, depending on the park’s needs and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services
- Welcome arriving guests and assist with check-in/check-out procedures.
- Escort guests to their assigned RV sites when needed.
- Answer questions about park amenities, rules, local attractions, restaurants, stores, and emergency services.
- Help guests resolve routine concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
- Monitor reservation arrivals, departures, and site availability as assigned.
Park Operations
- Conduct regular walk-throughs of the grounds, campsites, restrooms, laundry areas, and common spaces.
- Assist with light cleaning and upkeep of common areas, including restrooms, picnic areas, dog parks, and recreation spaces.
- Report maintenance, safety, utility, and cleanliness issues promptly to the Park Manager.
- Help ensure guests follow park policies related to quiet hours, pets, speed limits, parking, and site appearance.
- Assist with minor tasks such as picking up litter, replacing supplies, and maintaining informational materials.
Safety & Communication
- Observe and report unusual activity, safety hazards, or policy violations.
- Respond calmly and appropriately to guest concerns and emergencies, following park procedures.
- Maintain clear communication with the Park Manager and other staff through radio, phone, text, email, or assigned reporting tools.
- Keep accurate notes, incident reports, and shift logs when required.
Community & Hospitality
- Promote a welcoming, respectful, family-friendly atmosphere.
- Build positive relationships with guests while maintaining professional boundaries and enforcing park rules fairly.
Qualifications
- Campground, hospitality, customer service, or property-maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with a diverse range of guests.
- Comfortable working independently and using good judgment.
- Basic ability to use a smartphone, email, reservation software, radio, or point-of-sale system.
- Ability to perform light physical work, including walking the property, lifting up to [25–50] pounds, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Must be able to provide and maintain a self-contained RV if an on-site RV space is part of the position.
- Background check may be required.

- Bilingual communication skills.
Schedule
- Typical schedule: [20–40] hours per week.
- Weekend, holiday, and evening availability may be required.
- Work schedules may vary based on occupancy, events, and seasonal needs.
- Camp Hosts may be assigned on-call responsibilities for urgent guest or park matters.
