POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the S&OP team, the S&OP Planner is responsible for managing inventory planning and owning to facilitate S&OP process for New Balance Korea. This role ensures optimal inventory levels across product categories by aligning demand, supply, and business strategies. The position plays a key role in balancing stock availability, minimizing risks, and supporting overall business performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Planning & Management

  • Manage and optimize total inventory levels to ensure maximizing sales opportunity with supporting business strategies
  • Develop, maintain and publish inventory reports and dashboards utilizing BI tools to analyze and provide visibility on inventory status
  • Monitor core inventory KPIs such as stock turn, weeks of supply, slow moving inventory, etc. to ensure minimizing excess or shortages
  • Work closely with Supply Planning and Internal Operations counterparts to simulate rolling inventory projection
  • Own inventory performance tracking and continuously improve planning accuracy

S&OP Cycle Management

  • Drive implementation and facilitate the monthly regional S&OP process including reviewing demand and supply plans
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to strongly enforce the monthly S&OP process and prepare the risk analysis for the review
  • Identify risks and opportunities, and mitigate risks through proactive scenario planning and cross-functional coordination

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Coordinate cross-functional alignment on inventory direction and priorities among Merchandising, Commercial, Finance and Operations teams
  • Proactively communicate inventory risks and drive alignment on mitigation actions
  • Influence decision-making through data-driven insights and strong business acumen

ERP System & Process Optimization

  • Participating in Microsoft 365 Dynamics ERP enhancement, including Operations UAT activities
  • Drive system readiness, data integrity, and process standardization for inventory planning
  • Continuously identify and execute opportunities to enhance process efficiency

Performance Management & Analytics

  • Own and monitor core inventory KPIs (sell-through, stock turn, aging report, etc.)
  • Generate actionable insights to improve inventory productivity and business performance
  • Establish structured reporting and planning discipline across the organization

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

  • Experience: 7-9 years in Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, S&OP, or related field
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Strong understanding of inventory planning concepts and S&OP processes
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Native Korean
  • Highly proactive, accountable, and capable of driving outcomes in a fast-paced environment
