Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Associate Specialist

The Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Associate Specialist is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, finished products, labeling, and packaging comply with all applicable laws and regulations. This role involves proactively monitoring legislative changes, managing regulatory databases, and collaborating with internal and external partners to minimize and resolve potential regulatory issues.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in regulatory affairs with food products, This includes excellent knowledge on European food legislation and understanding of Codex Alimentarius.
  • Experience in working with veterinary products
  • Preferred: experience working with trade associations and government agencies to clarify and resolve regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring full compliance of ingredients, formulas, labeling, and packaging with current laws and regulations.
  • Guaranteeing that product claims are compliant with legislation.
  • Proactively monitoring changes in the regulatory environment and determining the status of new ingredients and additives.
  • Participating in project teams to anticipate and resolve regulatory issues.
  • Preparing and submitting documentation to regulatory agencies to substantiate claims and gain approval for new ingredients.
