[S800] Senior Java Backend Developer

Reporting to Director of Software Development, the Senior Java Backend Developer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the web applications and services.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and third-party integrations.
• Work closely with the product manager team, frontend team, and QA team to ensure seamless integration and high-quality deliverables.
• Document system designs, APIs, and technical specifications for both current and future development efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development, with a strong focus on Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Experienced in database development with MySQL/ Redis, database schema design, and ORM frameworks such as JPA, Hibernate or JOOQ.
• Experience in implementing RESTful APIs, including working with JSON, XML, web services and related tools such as Postman, Open API/ Swagger UI.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) and deployment strategies.
• Familiar with development tools such as Git and Maven.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with Java development on top of Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services is a plus.
