This role is a designed combination of two essential functions: Patient safety and advocacy. Safety Analyst clearly and accurately presents meaningful and actionable improvement opportunities to internal audiences of the organization, while preserving privilege and confidentiality protections. Works with data systems to support patient safety activities and deliverables using patient safety work product. Patient Advocate is responsible for coordinating the patient experience program and facilitates the resolution of customer concerns. The advocate coordinates the development of the patient experience program and optimization of standards and services. The advocate communicates with patients and the healthcare teams regarding feedback to ensure quality patient care.

Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's Degree Graduated from an accredited school of nursing, master’s degree in nursing, business, or healthcare administration.

Required: 5 Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare facility; with three years of experience in quality management, performance improvement, or risk management performing data mining, informatics data analytics, standard methodologies for data extractions including queries

Preferred License: Mississippi RN license or Compact state RN license.

Preferred Experience: with performance improvement processes and methodologies; data analysis, root cause analysis, healthcare failure mode effects analysis, team facilitation, clinical resource management, and database management including database linkages and statistical applications
