Job Summary
This role oversees safe, efficient lifting operations across construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and supporting a zero-harm culture within the Health, Safety and Environment management framework.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on site to ensure safety and efficiency
- Execute lifting activities strictly according to approved lifting plans and safety procedures
- Conduct thorough pre-lift inspections and safety checks on lifting equipment and accessories before each operation
- Coordinate communication and actions with crane operators, riggers, signalmen, and site personnel during lifting activities
- Monitor work activities continuously to ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations
- Identify potential hazards promptly and implement effective control measures to mitigate risks
- Lead toolbox meetings and deliver clear lifting instructions to workers to ensure understanding and compliance
- Intervene and stop any unsafe lifting operations immediately to prevent accidents
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all lifting activities for accountability and review
- Collaborate closely with site supervisors and project teams to facilitate smooth and coordinated operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Valid WSQ / MOM-recognised Lifting Supervisor certification
- Valid Rigger and Signalman certification
- Valid Manage Work At Height (MWAH) certification
- Ability to read and interpret lifting plans and work instructions accurately
- Familiarity with Workplace Safety and Health regulations and lifting procedures in Singapore
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in scaffolding and mast climbing platform
- Additional Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)-related certifications
