Safety and Occupational Health Manager
This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of the Chief Operating Officer in Washington, DC. The incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, evaluating, and advising on the formulation, implementation, maintenance, and modification of the SBA's safety and occupational health program throughout the SBA Headquarters (HQ) and all field locations comprised of numerous district offices and processing centers.
As a/an Safety and Occupational Health Manager at theGS- 0018-13, some of your typical work assignments may include: Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, operating and evaluating a safety and occupational health program. Conducts risk assessments and hazard analysis in the workplace to identify potential safety issues. Designs and delivers safety training to SBA employees on topics such as accident prevention, first aid, deployment safety, and workplace safety. Assist in developing and enforcing agency security policies to ensure compliance with ISC policies and best practices. Possess knowledge of a wide range of Security Specialties to include access physical, personal, and operational security to identify and resolve conflicting and complex policy and program objectives, and procedures within the security functional area.
