This position is with the USDA, Forest Service, Southern Research Station (SRS). The incumbent is considered an agency expert in the field of Safety and Occupational Health Program Manager. Analyzes unsafe conditions and operations in response to employee complaints and supervisory requests.
Conducts strategic planning related to development of annual action plans and budget development.
Recommends appropriate changes and prepares appropriate reports.
Manages and utilizes agency safety management automated databases.
Participates as a safety management team member to develop and implement procedures for accident prevention and hazard control.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt. Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
