Safety and Occupational Health Specialist

About the Position: Serves as the Safety & Occupational Health Specialist for the Operational Support Airlift Activity (OSA-A) at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Plan and organize continuous assignments in the development of safety program content, standards, procedures, and techniques to provide safety services.

Responsible for the Standard Army Safety and Occupational Health Inspection (SASOHI) Program.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to the ARNG Fixed Wing Detachments and Aviation Safety Officer’s (ASO).

Plan and conduct periodic Aviation Resource Management Surveys of ARNG Fixed Wing safety programs and facilities.

Initiate and carry out safety education activities by promoting safety awareness through safety councils and committees, safety stand down days.
