Summary

Safety and occupational health specialist reviews industrial processes, identifies hazards, and manages safety programs for a government agency.

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. You will determine the nature of the adverse exposure, estimate its intensity and duration, and establish parameters.

You will review and examine organizational safety program management and support, industrial work operations and processes to identify high hazards (e.g. explosives, hazardous materials. etc.).

You will serve as a lead trainer by scheduling classes, preparing syllabuses and teaching outlines for subordinate safety and occupational health specialists.

You will provide technical safety program management oversight for mandated programs, under the direction of the safety supervisor.

You will assist in designated Command investigations, prepare limited distribution and confidential mishap messages, reports, and endorsements regarding mishaps.
