Safety Coordinator
Job Summary
Assist the project team in implementing and maintaining workplace safety and health (WSH) policies and procedures to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain workplace safety and health (WSH) policies and procedures in collaboration with the project team
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to verify compliance with the WSH Act, regulations, and company policies
- Organize and deliver toolbox talks, safety training, and induction programs for workers and subcontractors to enhance safety awareness
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, risk assessments, and training matrices for project documentation
- Support preparation of risk assessments, safe work procedures, and other safety documents following project method statements
- Respond to and investigate incidents and accidents, prepare detailed incident reports, and recommend preventive measures to mitigate risks
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree holder or equivalent
- Certificate in Safety Coordinator or Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant safety experience in building construction or private residential projects such as landed properties
- Knowledge of the Workplace Safety & Health Act
- Willingness to travel to project site offices within Singapore
