Safety Coordinator
Summary
Oversee construction-site safety for DOT and civil projects in Arkansas, ensuring OSHA compliance through training, audits, and incident management.
Capital Holding Group is looking for an experienced Safety Coordinator to implement, manage, and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures that meet OSHA requirements. This position is based out of Searcy, Arkansas and will oversee DOT and commercial bridge and earthworks projects in the central Arkansas area to ensure they are meeting OSHA standards and following company safety policies.
This individual must be an experienced safety specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the civil construction industry. This individual must be skilled in Hazard Analysis, CPR Instruction, Safety Training, Incident Investigation, and Lock Out Tag Out.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist with executing our safety strategy and zero accident culture for the assigned business unit.
- Ensure job site safety including training, documentation, audits, and reporting.
- Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with OSHA and company policies/procedures.
- Assist in safety efforts by researching, planning, developing, and implementing programs and procedures necessary to meet compliance and safety needs.
- Implement an effective safety program for each project within the territory assigned.
- Lead safety training for individuals and crews as needed.
- Maintain a regular site visit to all projects within the territory assigned.
- Communicate with all parties in real time to ensure all safety matters are dealt with timely and accurately.
- Maintain proper safety records and documentation and communicate to all levels of the organization as necessary.
- Other duties, as assigned.
