Oversee workplace safety and health compliance in Singapore by implementing policies, conducting inspections, and managing incident investigations and training.
Safety Coordinator
- Implement and monitor Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and programs.
- Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, relevant regulations, and company safety requirements.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify workplace hazards.
- Carry out risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports.
- Organize and conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and WSH training for employees and contractors.
- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safe work practices.
- Coordinate emergency response plans, fire drills, and first aid arrangements.
- Maintain WSH documentation, including inspection records, incident reports, permits, and training records.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities on WSH matters.
- Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements.
- Support WSH audits and implement corrective actions arising from inspections or audits.
- Prepare monthly WSH reports and safety performance statistics for management.
- Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.
