Safety Coordinator

Summary

Oversee workplace safety at factories and job sites by inspecting conditions, enforcing regulations, and coordinating certifications and training for employees and contractors.

Job Description:

  • Routinely inspect the workplace(e.g. job sites, factories or offices) to identify unsafe conditions, practices, or equipment
  • To conduct daily TBM for contractor and employee
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
  • To review & keep update TRA and SOP
  • To arrange for crane, lifting gear & air receiver certification to keep to documentation up to date
  • To arrange and lead safety meeting
  • Conduct evaluation on site equipment and machineries related to mechanical electrical safety inspection
  • Assist management in developing, reviewing, and implementing Workplace safety and Health (WSH) policies
  • Ensure the organization complies with all relevant national and international safety regulations (e.g. Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in Singapore). To keep update of employee training record

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in a WSH-related role (such as Assistant WSHO, WSH Coordinator, or Safety Coordinator)
  • Proficient in spoken and written Mandarin to effectively communicate with Chinese-speaking stakeholders and accurately prepare safety-related documentation in Chinese
  • Responsible, proactive, and resourceful with a proven track record of strong problem-solving skills
  • An excellent team player with strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative abilities across all levels
  • Highly adaptable with a continuous willingness to learn and keep up with changing safety standards
